FAQs
Can i enroll month to month, or is enrollment done in seasons?
CVDA's enrollment is done in seasons. Our main session goes from the middle of September through the end of May, and then we have a separate session over the summer. The studio does offer a month to month payment option. However, once enrolled you are committing to the entire season that runs for 30 weeks. To withdraw, an email must be sent to info@centralvadance.com by November 1st.
What is the discount for paying in full?
If you pay for the full season up front you will receive 5% off your total. Full payments must be made by September 1st to be applicable for the discount. Otherwise you will be billed monthly.
what is company class?
Company Class is designed to increase performance opportunities for students and to also work on performance skills in addition to technique. All company classes except beginning company will perform in CVDA's production of the Nutcracker in December and will also participate in a Spring Gala in April. In addition to performing in two productions company dancers also have the option to audition for competitions but are not required. Please see Children's Division for Beginning Company details.
how do i sign up for auto draft?
You can sign up for Auto Draft by logging into your online portal, clicking “Account Settings,” then clicking “Automatic Payments.” From there you can enter your card information. This is also where you will need to go in order to update your card information or change the card we have on file.
What is the “family Discount” on tuition, and am i eligible?
At CVDA the price per hour decreases the more hours you take. The family discount is automatically applied to a family with multiple siblings enrolled. Instead of adding each child’s hours separately, we add the total amount of hours together per family, and your hourly rate is based off of that total. This means that your price per hour will be reduced dramatically.
When is My tuition due?
If you are paying monthly, your tuition is due on the first of every month. A late fee of $20 will be applied to any accounts that have not been paid by the 16th of every month.
What is the requirement to go on pointe?
In order to go on pointe dancers must be recommended by their ballet teachers and have completed Ballet 3. It is recommended that you take the suggested amount of ballet for each level to help gain the strength needed for pointe work. Dancers are required to take a minimum of two ballet classes per week in order to register for pointe class. Three ballet classes a week however are recommended in addition to pointe.
Will my costume fees/miscellaneous Fees be drafted with my tuition on auto draft?
No. Our system is set up to only take your monthly tuition on the first of each month with Auto Draft. If you would like us to debit your card for your costume fees, competition fees, or any other miscellaneous fees, you will have to email us directly and we will run the transaction separately.
